We all digest information in different ways, so I’m sharing my about the importance of communities in writing (see below) and via this short video as well. Enjoy!
Did you know that January being the beginning of the year is a relatively modern thing, and that traditionally April used to be the start?
I like to honour this tradition and so I use April as my month to look at what I’m doing in my business, why I’m doing it, and what needs to change so I stay in alignment with my grandest vision for the work I do.
Reassess what works and what doesn’t?
It’s so easy to fall into a comfortable pattern (ummmm perhaps that should say rut!!) with what you do in your businesses. And the danger with this is that you disconnect from your vision and your why for what you do.
This kind of disconnection can lead to a feeling of apathy that your clients will most definitely feel, and consequently your business will suffer.
That’s why it’s vital that you make a date with yourself at least once a year (more if you know you’re going through big transitions) to sit down and check back in with your business vision and your WHY.
Visions and motivations change over time, and what once felt like your ultimate desire can morph into something quite different. And that’s ok! In fact, it’s a great thing because it shows you how much you’ve evolved.
The key though is to take the time to realign your business with your new vision, so that you can move forward with renewed purpose and confidence, rather than simply resting in inertia.
My vision has changed
Over the last few months, I’ve been switching things up with how I work and offer my services, and I’ve been loving it. But I’ve been very aware that I hadn’t yet carved out the time to sit down and really connect with my new vision and what it means to me, and to my clients.
When your vision changes, it’s so important to ensure that it’s clearly communicated in every area of your business and positioned at the heart of everything you do: website, emails, blogs, landing pages, program structures… the list goes on!
Over the last 6 months I’ve been offering money coaching in a group setting and, quite honestly, the results have been blowing my mind! I’ve now realised that my vision isn’t just to help people understand their money stories and create better ones. It’s so much more than that. My vision is…
To create a community of empowered, strong, happy, and financial independent women, who support one another to live amazing lives!
My heart is in communities
This new vision has allowed me to rediscover the key to my heart, and that key is communities.
In an earlier blog, ‘The Power of Community’ I shared how growing up in South Africa I always felt part of a community, but when I moved to Switzerland, for the first time in my life, I didn’t have that lifeline.
And while without doubt I’ve made some great friends and have connected in a meaningful way with my 1:1 clients, there’s always been that extra piece of magic missing.
My first step to finding what I was missing was starting my Mindful Money Magicians Facebook group. It was a way for me to continue to support my 1:1 clients after our coaching completed and connect them with other business owners so that they could collaborate and support each other too. And from the get-go the group was wonderful.
But it was finally taking the leap that I’d been procrastinating on for years (yep, it happens to us all!) and providing money coaching in a group environment, that’s given not just me, but my entire community the greatest gift imaginable.
The depth of connection and support that these coaching groups create is like nothing I’ve experienced before. And when each group ends and the energy of love and support they’ve created amongst them is expanded out into the wider Mindful Money Coaching community, it’s like a mini explosion of love and connection that expands out and pulls every woman in.
It’s in our DNA to commune and support each other, and when we either try to go it alone, or we find ourselves in communities that we’re not aligned with, it can be distressing.
The right community of women will accept you exactly as you are and will not judge you. They will encourage you to find, reach and surpass your goals. They’ll listen to you and hold you when you’re down and believe in you and encourage you to rise. You’ll find collaboration not competition and a genuine desire to celebrate all your wins with you.
And as I write that I’m so proud to know in my heart that my Mindful Money Magicians community is all those things and more. And this is just the beginning for us.
If you’d like to be part of our community, we’d love to have you. Your first step on the journey is to take my Money Quiz and then book a 1:1 discovery call with me. Booking this call is super important, because right out of the gate I want to support you. I can promise you there’s no hard sell. We’ll simply connect and chat through your quiz results and I’ll give you some ideas and tips that you can implement straight away to start changing your money story. And, if you decide you want to take the next step and join our community, we can chat about that too.
